STUDY VISIT BY IGS STUDENT

25th February 2010, It was an honour for Darussalam Holdings today as a total of 16 students from International Graduate Studies College (IGS) taking Pre National Diploma, National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Business and Finance Studies made a visit to Darussalam Holdings Sendiran Berhad. Accompanying the students were 6 lecturers from various division.

The purpose of the study visit was to learn more on a business entity and the corporate world which will help them understand on the various topics they are currently learning specifically in the Business and Finance Field as stated by the Group Visit Leader Haji Azahari bin Haji Ahmad.

Topics presented during the study visit were Corporate Strategic Plan, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Operational Management and Future Business Development of Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad. Presentation was  made by Darussalam Holdings Head of Human Resource & Corporate, Muhd Rasimoon  Haji Adinin and Executive Officer, Finance Department, Haji Md Zulikram Haji Omar Ali.

At the end of the presentation. a Q&A session was held, and students had the opportunity to ask various questions posed to the panel of presenter.

DHSB 2nd UMRAH PACKAGE 2010

18th Feb 2010 :

The 2nd DHSB Umrah Group left for Jeddah today. At the airport to bid farewell were their family and friends as well as officers and staff from Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad.

Accompanynig the group is umrah liaison officer, Haji Ahmad Fadhli bin Haji Damit. The group will be visiting Madinah and then proceed to Makkah to perform their umrah and finally returning back home.

Darussalam Holdings held Umrah briefing:

Darussalam Holdings Sdn Bhd held a second briefing on Peghayatan Umrah dan Pengurusan for jemaah who will be performing Umrah on the 18^th Feb 2010 until 03 March 2010.

The briefing was held at Jame Al’ Asre Hassanal Bolkah Mosque and a total of 44 jemaah attended. The purpose of the briefing was to provide a better understanding for the jemaah on what to expect during the Umrah course. Accompanying the group is Darussalam Holdings Hajj & Umrah Department, Assistant Officer Awang Haji Ahmad Fadhli bin Hj Damit.

Learning and Development

10th Feb 2010:

Learning and Development has always been an important element for the continuous growth of an organization. In 2010, the Human Resource & Corporate Department continues its effort as part of its mission and objectives to produce effective and efficient workforce through continuous learning and development programmes.

Recently the Human Resource & Corporate Department sent 6 staff from different departments to attend a two day workshop from 08th - 09th Feb 2010 on 'Motivational Customer Service Skills' conducted by FMBrunei Consultancy Services Brunei.

It is hoped that, after attending the course, the staff will be able to demonstrate their new acquired knowledge into their daily activities, improving their work performance and at the same time contribute to the company's bottom line. More programmes will be planned in the near future for the officers and staff of the company covering different topics and areas.

Alhamdulillah, all DHSB Hajj pilgrims has arrived home safely. A thanksgiving prayer was held for the success of this year Hajj management and for the blessings that Allah has given in ensuring a smooth operation.

2nd Flight Departure

The second group for Darussalam Hajj Pilgrims left Jeddah yesterday. At the airport to bid farewell to the pilgrims were Darussalam Holdings Managing Director cum Head of Delegation Haji Mahmud bin Haji Mohamed, as well as other officers and staff.

First Flight Depart to Brunei

Alhamdulillah, the first batch of Darussalam Hajj pilgrims left Jeddah last night. Flight was slightly delayed due to various reasons.
