Charity Project " Al Birr Wa Taqwa"

16 September 2009, Due to recent technical problems with the blog, we were unable to make new postings thus the delay in updates. During this holy month of Ramadhan, Darussalam Holdings Sdn Bhd took the opportunity to conduct a charity project delegated by the HR & Corporate Department. Involved in the project to provide their support and assistance were all the officers and staff from every department. A charity project named "Al Birr Wa Taqwa" (Welfare & Piety) was organized aimed at helping family living in poor conditions. With the assistance of the Community Development Department (JAPEM), we were able to identify a number of families to assist. A total of 20 families were identified ranging from widows, low income earners, senior citizens and the disabled. On hand to present the donations and contributions in the form of food supplies and cash were the Managing Director, Haji Mahmud bin Haji Mohamed and the Assistant Managing Director, Hajah Sufinah binti Haji Sahat.
